Job summary

Dyer Nursing and Rehab is hiring an Activities Aide (Full-Time) to enhance daily living for residents. The role focuses on engaging residents through planned activities, social interactions, and helping to create a welcoming community.

Candidates should have 1–2 years in a social or recreational program within healthcare; duties include documenting admissions and discharges, creating activity calendars, and promoting participation in Resident Council.

Qualifications

• Activities Aide must have the following: 1 - 2 years’ experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Facilitate ongoing program for group and individual activities based on the residents’ needs, interest, and abilities as identified in assessment / care plans
• Complete required record keeping upon resident admission, discharge, transfer; chart and document per facility policy
• Assist in creating the activity calendar
• Follow and maintain established policies and procedures
• Encourage participation in Resident Council, schedule monthly meetings
