Job summary

Avantara Aurora in Aurora, IL seeks an Activity Aide to support residents' emotional and social wellbeing by providing companionship, encouraging participation in activities, and assisting with scheduling movies and planning events. You will help organize games, crafts, parties, and accompany residents on activities outside the facility, using your knowledge and care to meet their needs.

Minimum requirement is 10th grade education; prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is

• Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain emotional and social wellbeing of residents by providing companionship.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities, schedule movies, plan parties, organize games and crafts.
• Accompany residents on activities outside the facility and attend to their needs with attention to detail.

As an Activity Aide, you are instrumental in maintaining the emotional and social wellbeing of our residents’. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect atAvantara Auroraby interacting with and providing companionship to our residents, encouraging residents to participate in activities, assisting with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games, crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside of the facility. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they emotional and social wellbeing needs are met.
