Job summary

Avantara Long Grove is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Aide to join our award‑winning skilled nursing team in Long Grove, IL. You will engage residents, help plan social activities, and foster emotional wellbeing in a caring environment.

The role offers full‑time hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a pay range of $16.00–$17.50 per hour. Russian language skills are preferred and prior nursing facility experience is a plus, but we will invest in the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10th grade education.
• Russian speaking is a plus.
• Prior Activity Aide experience in a skilled nursing facility setting is preferable, but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' emotional and social wellbeing by providing companionship.
• Encourage participation in activities, schedule movies, and plan parties.
• Organize games and crafts; accompany residents on activities outside the facility.

As an Activity Aide, you are instrumental in maintaining the emotional and social wellbeing of our residents. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Long Grove by interacting with and providing companionship to our residents, encouraging them to participate in activities, assisting with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games and crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside of the facility. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure their emotional and social wellbeing needs are met.
