Job summary

Generations is seeking an Activities/Vitality Coordinator to enrich residents' lives through thoughtful, engaging vitality programs. You will supervise and implement activities that promote mind, body and spirit, aligning with the Generations Vitality standards and philosophy.

In this role, you will foster staff and resident participation, communicate the Vitality benefits, and uphold Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Must have at least an Associate degree in therapeutic recreation, health education, or activity professional program (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of related experience with older adults in activities/wellness.
• Current CPR certification, or to be completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vitality activities and programs to enhance mind, body, and spirit for residents and staff.
• Meet Generations Vitality program standards and promote Vitality benefits to staff and residents.
• Incorporate Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into daily interactions and activities.

Job description

The Activities/Vitality Coordinator at The Wexford enhances the lives of our residents and staff through creating opportunities that enrich mind, body, and spirit. Responsible for meeting all Generations Vitality program standards. Communicates the Vitality philosophy and the benefits of participating to staff and residents both verbally and by example. Incorporates Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into daily work and interactions with others.

Schedule

• Full-time, working 35-40 hours a week
• Mondays through Fridays, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Occasional Saturday & Sunday shifts
• 8 hours a day

Requirements

• Associates degree in therapeutic recreation, health education or activity professional program preferred.
• Minimum 1-year related experience in activities and/or wellness with older adults. Must be able to read, write and follow written and oral direction.
• Current CPR certification, or to be completed within 30 days of hire.
