Signature HealthCARE is seeking an Activities Director at our McCreary County Rehab & Wellness Center to plan, coordinate, and direct activities promoting social, spiritual, and psychological needs for residents. The role includes creating an engaging calendar and providing in-room activities when needed.

The ideal candidate holds a therapeutic recreation degree or NCCAP Activity Director certification and has 1–2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Formación

• Degree or certification in therapeutic recreation or related field.
• Certification as Activity Director (NCCAP) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in healthcare activities.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize, and direct activities to meet social, spiritual, and psychological resident needs.
• Coordinate in-room activities and maintain an engaging activity calendar.
• Oversee staff in activities programs and ensure quality resident engagement.

How you Will make a difference

Our Activities Directors make a difference in the lives of our residents by planning, organizing, and directing a wide variety of activities that promote social, spiritual, and psychological needs.

• Coordinate and verify that assistance is provided to residents for activities and events as necessary.
• Provide in room activities for residents who are unable to attend daily events.
• Create an ongoing calendar of activities, which creatively meets multiple needs and is accessible and appealing to both men and women of all ages and abilities.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Degree and certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist; or
• Certified Activity Director by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals; or
• Two (2) years' experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years, in which one (1) year was full time in a resident activities program in a health care setting; or
• Prior completion of a state approved training course.
• One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience.
