Job summary

Seabrook Village seeks an Activity Program Coordinator to stimulate residents' physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional well-being within our Continuing Care community in Monmouth County, NJ.

Responsibilities include designing and leading engaging programs, ensuring resident safety on outings, and collaborating with staff, families, and volunteers to enhance the resident experience. A related degree or relevant experience is required, with a flexible weekends/evenings schedule.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or relevant experience, is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as an Activities Staff with supervisory experience or 3 years as a Programming Assistant is required.
• Experience leading groups of people with varying levels of physical and cognitive independence, and experience with the elderly is required.
• Flexible work schedule including weekends and evenings is required.
• Certified or eligible for certification (AAC or CTRS 4 year degree) preferred.

• Design, plan and facilitate various programs for individuals and groups in common areas and residents' rooms.
• Escort and ensure resident safety on group trips and excursions.
• Collaborate with team members, volunteers, families and community groups to deliver programs.

Position Overview

The Activity Program Coordinator is responsible for working with residents within Continuing Care (skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care) to stimulate their physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional well-being.

Compensation

Compensation: Commensurate with experience between $55,000-$60,000 annually.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience $46,000 per year.

Schedule

Schedule: Full-Time, Sunday-Thursday 8a-5p.

Responsibilities

How you will make an impact: Uses independent judgment to design, plan and facilitate variously structured, guided, and impromptu programs for individuals and groups in the common areas and resident rooms of the Continuing Care Community. Escorts and ensures the safety of the residents on group trips and excursions. Works collaboratively with other team members, management, community groups, volunteers, and families to deliver programs and activities designed to enhance the resident experience. Assesses changes in the resident’s needs, abilities, and preferences to provide programs and activities that are beneficial, purposeful, and enjoyable for individuals and group audiences. Implements, supervises or leads the group and individual activities both structured, guided and impromptu in activity spaces, common areas, and in resident’s rooms.
