Job summary

Seabrook Village by Erickson Senior Living in Tinton Falls, NJ, is seeking a Program Assistant to enhance the well-being of Continuing Care residents through physical, intellectual, social, spiritual and emotional activities. You will work with the Programming team to tailor therapeutic and recreational activities to residents’ needs and interests.

The role offers part-time and per diem schedules with hourly compensation of $18–$19, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the geriatric population or in related professional fields.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Activities Assistant in a licensed health care facility or related experience through college coursework/internships.
• Experience leading groups with varying levels of physical and cognitive independence is preferred.
• Flexible work schedule, including weekends and evenings, is required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate structured and impromptu programs for residents.
• Escort residents on group trips, ensuring safety.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver programs.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ needs to the Programming Manager.
• Manage program supplies and equipment for safety.
• Participate in team discussions on programming and schedules.
• Prepare and implement activities per Manager guidance.
• Lead group and individual activities, motivate participants.
