The successful candidate for the activities position will be energetic, passionate, and creative. This job involves working directly with residents, so you must be gentle, responsible, and hardworking. Comfort with confused residents and a willingness to find fulfillment in small ways are essential.

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT:

The Activities Assistant provides individualized activity care and services for residents. This role functions as part of the activities department team and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members on assigned units to foster team success.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior work or life experiences, preferably in healthcare
• Experience with related software applications is a plus
• Ability to plan, organize, and conduct various activities
• Basic computer literacy
• Active state driver’s license
