Job summary

Arbors at Delaware is seeking a certified Life Enrichment Director to oversee activity programming for a diverse resident population. You will lead holistic activity planning, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and supervise Residents Activity Assistants to deliver meaningful programs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with rehab, social services and staff to promote resident well-being, functional engagement, and quality of life in a compassionate long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Education in recreation therapy or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Certification as NCCAP/state-specific activity director and long-term care experience.
• Experience supervising staff and managing activity programs in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents to determine abilities and interests.
• Develop individualized activity programs based on findings.
• Complete MDS/RAPS timely and document resident responses.
• Develop and manage budget for equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate speakers, trips, volunteers, and community involvement.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation and social services teams.
• Ensure documentation and use Quality Indicators to evaluate programs.
• Assist with discharge planning and family engagement.
