Job summary

Anson Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an Activities Director to join our team of dedicated health care professionals. Sign on bonus available and competitive pay commensurate with experience.

The Activity Director plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Activity Department to meet the interests and well-being of each resident in accordance with assessments. We offer a supportive work environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional licensed by the state.
• Minimum two years' experience in a social or recreation program in the last five years, including one year full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
• Must be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
• Must have completed a state-approved training course.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the activity department's operations.
• Ensure activities align with residents' interests and their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

The Activity Director plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Activity Department to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

Requirements

• Applicant must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who is licensed by this state and is eligible for certification as a recreation specialist or as an activities professional;
• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years' experience in a social or recreation program within the last five (5) years, one (1) of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting;
• Must be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant;
• Must have completed a training course approved by the state.
