Job summary

The Lodge at Sandhills Carolina in Pinehurst, NC is seeking an Activities Director to lead the Activity Department and enhance resident well-being through engaging programs.

Qualifications

• Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or licensed activities professional.
• At least 2 years of social or recreation program experience in the last 5 years; 1 year in patient activities in a health care setting.
• OT or OT assistant or state-approved training required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the Activity Department to support residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well‑being.
• Ensure alignment with comprehensive assessment and care goals.

The Activity Director plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Activity Department to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
Applicant must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who is licensed by this state and is eligible for certification as a recreation specialist or as an activities professional; or Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years’ experience in a social or recreation program within the last five (5) years, one (1) of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting; or Must have a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or Must have completed a training course approved by this state.
