Job summary

Anson Health & Rehabilitation seeks an Activities Director to lead the Activity Department, planning, organizing, developing, and directing resident activities to support their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Requires licensure as a therapeutic recreation professional or related field, with experience in health care settings; two years in a social/recreation program preferred. A sign-on bonus is available, and a supportive team environment is highlighted.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who is licensed by this state and is eligible for certification as a recreation specialist or as an activities professional.
• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years’ experience in a social or recreation program within the last five (5) years, one (1) of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
• Must be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
• Must have completed a training course approved by the state.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Activity Department to meet the interests and well-being of each resident.
• Ensures activities program aligns with comprehensive assessment and residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.
