Job summary

Aspen Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Activities Director to lead engaging programs for residents. The role emphasizes a kind approach to the elderly, active listening, and building rapport, with strong communication across teams.

The position includes coordinating group activities, one-to-one visits, and collaboration with nursing staff, plus housekeeping duties in activity areas. Preferred is an Activities Director Certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement group programming to promote interaction between residents.
• Notify residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Visit residents one-to-one to provide companionship, sensory stimulation, reality orientation, and tailored activity plans.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to assist in transporting residents to activities.
• Maintain general housekeeping in activity areas.

Job Summary:

Essential Functions:

• Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
• Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis to provide:
• A friendly visitor.
• Sensory stimulation.
• Reality orientation.
• A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident’s Activity Plan.
• Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.
• Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
• Preferred: Activities Director Certification
