Job Purpose:The Activities Coordinator at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities for clients. The role aims to enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of individuals by providing engaging and meaningful experiences that support their recovery and overall quality of life.Key Responsibilities:Develop and coordinate a diverse range of activities tailored to the needs and interests of clients, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all participants.Collaborate with clinical staff to integrate therapeutic goals into activity planning, aligning with individual treatment plans and objectives.Schedule and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs, ensuring a balanced mix of recreational, educational, and therapeutic opportunities.Facilitate group sessions and individual activities, providing support and encouragement to participants to foster engagement and participation.Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and programs, gathering feedback from clients and staff to make necessary adjustments and improvements.Maintain accurate records of activity participation, progress, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.Manage resources, including equipment and materials, to support the delivery of high-quality activities, coordinating with vendors and suppliers as needed.Assist in the training and supervision of volunteers and support staff involved in activity programs, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.Promote a safe and positive atmosphere for all activities, adhering to health and safety regulations and protocols.Engage with clients and their families to encourage participation and inform them about the benefits and goals of the activity programs.Required Education:Associate's degree in Recreation, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
