Job summary

Jackson Manor seeks compassionate Activities Assistant for part-time shifts to lead engaging resident activities in a senior living setting. You will plan monthly calendars, prep snacks, set up dining areas and help residents move between spaces as outlined in care plans.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED; NCCAP credits and 500 hours of activity programming are preferred. The role requires weekends, holidays and evenings and offers a supportive team in a community that values

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 NCCAP credits preferred.
• 500 hours of activity programming preferred.
• NCCAP Certification preferred.
• Must maintain a working email address and phone number.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule.
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set up the dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after all activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

6 college credits NCCAP

500 hours activity programming experience

NCCAP Certification preferred

Qualifications of Activities Assistant

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is required
• 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP is preferred
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming is preferred
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
