Job summary

The Pines at Placerville is seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant to join our Activities team. You will help create meaningful and engaging experiences for our residents through games, crafts, music, social events, outings, and one-on-one activities.

This role rewards compassion, creativity, and strong communication as you support residents, help maintain the monthly calendar, and assist with transportation for outings when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Director in planning and leading activities.
• Encourage participation based on interests and abilities.
• Provide one-on-one activities for residents who cannot join group activities.
• Assist with resident outings, events, entertainment, and community activities.
• Develop and maintain the monthly activity calendar.
• Build positive relationships with residents and families.
• Encourage continued hobbies, crafts, reading, music, games, and other interests.
• Assist with activity documentation, attendance, assessments, and care plans.
• Arrange transportation for outings and appointments when needed.
• Keep the Activities Department clean and ready for residents.

The Pines at Placerville is looking for a Part-Time Activity Assistant to join our Activities team!

As an Activity Assistant, you'll help create meaningful and engaging experiences for our residents through games, crafts, music, social events, outings, one-on-one activities, and more. What You'll Do

• Assist the Activities Director in planning and leading engaging individual, small-group, and large-group activities.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests, abilities, and preferences.
• Help provide meaningful one-on-one activities for residents who may be unable to participate in group activities.
• Assist with resident outings, special events, entertainment, and community activities.
• Help develop and maintain the monthly activity calendar.
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families while creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment.
• Encourage residents to continue enjoying their favorite hobbies, crafts, reading, music, games, and other interests.
• Assist with activity documentation, attendance records, assessments, and care plans as assigned.
• Assist with arranging transportation for resident outings and appointments when needed.
• Keep the Activities Department clean, organized, and ready for residents to enjoy.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience working in a skilled nursing, assisted living, senior living, healthcare, recreation, or activities setting is preferred, but we are happy to consider candidates who have the right attitude, personality, and desire to make a difference.

Physical Requirements

This position involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, and interacting with residents. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with various physical activities may be required.
