Job summary

The Pines at Placerville is seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant to join our Activities team. You’ll help create meaningful and engaging experiences for residents through games, crafts, music, social events, outings, and one-on-one activities.

Work closely with the Activities Director to plan and lead activities that match residents’ interests and abilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; previous senior living or healthcare activity experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing, assisted living, senior living, healthcare, recreation, or activities setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Director in planning and leading engaging activities for residents.
• Encourage residents to participate based on interests and abilities.
• Provide meaningful one-on-one activities for residents unable to participate in groups.
• Assist with resident outings, events, entertainment, and calendar development.
• Build positive relationships with residents and families; create a welcoming environment.
• Encourage residents to continue hobbies, crafts, reading, music, and games.
