Job summary

Moravian Manor in Lititz, PA, is looking for a compassionate Part-Time Activities Assistant to engage senior residents through creative activities. This position requires evening shifts and working every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications

  • MDS experience preferred.
  • Certified Dementia Practitioner a plus.

  • Oversee documentation of resident participation assessment.

Moravian Manor Communities, located in the beautiful town of Lititz, PA is a premier not-for-profit senior living community that has been serving older adults for 50 years. We are currently seeking a creative, compassionate, and caring Part‑time Activities Assistant with the unique ability to bring joy to our residents through engaging activities.

This role offers evening shifts with a total of 40 hours per biweekly pay period. Candidates should be available to work every other weekend and holiday, with some flexibility to assist with special events as needed.

What will I do in the role of an Activities Assistant?
  • Planned and monitors unit activities, content of programs, and independent activities.
  • Implements individual and group activities; supervise residents’ use of all equipment and materials and takes the necessary precautions in implementing the program.
  • Oversee documentation of resident participation assessment, MDS, care plan, and progress on the appropriate forms.
  • Works with activities staff to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agencies and volunteer groups.
What do I need in the role of an Activities Assistant?
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working in a retirement home setting or rec center preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • MDS experience preferred
  • Certified Dementia Practitioner a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, every other weekend and holidays.
