Country Meadows is seeking an Activities Assistant (Part-Time) on-site in Bethlehem, PA. Pay starts at $17.50-$18.50/hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience. The role focuses on creating engaging experiences for residents, promoting participation, and planning activities with the team.

Part-time schedule 9:00am–4:00pm with alternating weekends and holidays off. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays, and more, plus PayActiv on-demand pay and tuition

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in group socialization or recreational programs preferred but not required.
• Active listening and empathetic communication with residents and co-workers.
• Strong motivational and engagement skills.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations in the past three years.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this role.

Responsibilities

• Generate ideas for new and favorite experiences for residents.

• Plan and accompany residents to events and outings.

As the Activities Assistant Part-Time, you will create experiences with all members of our community and encourage residents to participate. We are seeking individuals who value the company of older adults, lead with a big picture mentality and appreciate the arts and wellness.

• Part-time 9:00am to 4:0pm, with every other weekend and every other holiday OFF
  • Week one: Work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (12:30pm-7:00), Saturday
  • Week two: Work Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Activities Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Generate ideas for new and favorite experiences.
• Drive residents’ interest in a dynamic lifestyle to promote a sense of pride and purpose.
• Venture out with residents to theaters, museums, sporting events, restaurants, special destinations and more.
• Team up with the Activities Coordinator and/or Associate in preparing and planning on and offsite events and activities.
• Promote a positive, enthusiastic environment to motivate resident engagement.

Activities Assistant Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in group socialization or recreational programs preferred but not required.
• Leadership style that is energetic, personable, positive, enthusiastic, creative and imaginative.
• Ability to communicate intentions and directions to residents and co-workers. Be an active listener/empathetic.
• Strong motivational skills to positively influence resident participation.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations in the past three years.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
