Job summary

Lakeside Generations, a Cassia community, is hiring an Activities Assistant to join our team. The role involves conducting fun and engaging activities for residents, with a self-motivated, creative candidate who cares about resident well-being.

Position Type: Part-Time, 2 days/week with one weekend per month and rotating holidays. Hours: Tue/Thu 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM. Location: 439 William Avenue East, Dassel MN 55325. Pay: $19.09-$21.09 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior care preferred.
• Ability to engage residents in activities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Encourage, support, and assist residents with activities in either individual or group settings.
• Interact with residents one-to-one outside of structured times.
• Document attendance and involvement in activities.
• Represent Lakeside Generations positively at all times.
• Maintain courteous and respectful interactions with residents, families, and staff.
• Perform related tasks as needed.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and creativity in arts, crafts, and games.

In this role, you will conduct fun and exciting activities with our residents. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a genuine concern for our residents’ well-being, and has a creative personality and positive attitude. We are seeking someone who are enthusiastic about driving our bus and ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for our passengers.

Hours:

Pay Range: $19.09 - $21.09 per hour depending on experience.

• Encourage, support, and assist residents with activities in individual and group settings.
• Interact and assist residents on a one to one basis outside of structured program times.
• Document activity attendance and degree of involvement.
• Act as a positive representative at all times.
• Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.
• Prior experience working in a senior care environment preferred.
• Demonstrate good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities.
• Creative aptitude for training in arts, crafts, and games.
• Good communication skills, including ability to give directions to others in a manner that is pleasant and easily understood.
• Must be able to work a consistent schedule.
