Job summary

Blue Central Group in the United States is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging recreational activities for residents, including memory care. You will design programs that promote joy, social interaction, and meaningful participation across the community.

Collaborate with caregiving staff to ensure activities align with individual care plans, assist with ADLs during events when needed, and maintain records of participation and feedback to continually

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in event planning or recreational therapy within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or senior care environments.
  • Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, geriatrics, and memory support strategies.
  • Familiarity with long-term care practices, home & community care services, and working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging residents and coordinating with team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and scheduling purposes.
  • Ability to develop innovative programs that promote resident engagement and well-being.
  • Prior experience working with seniors in senior living facilities or similar settings is highly preferred.

  • Manage scheduling of activities and ensure timely setup and cleanup for all events.
  • Collaborate with caregiving staff, nursing teams, and family members to align activities with individual care plans and health considerations.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity feedback to continually improve program offerings.
