Job summary

Luxe Healthcare is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational activities for residents. You will help create a lively, engaging atmosphere that promotes physical, social, and emotional well-being.

You will assist with planning events, engaging residents, and coordinating activities while maintaining equipment and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in recreational or social settings with older adults preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and conducting recreational activities that meet residents' needs and interests (games, music, crafts, social events).
• Engage with residents to provide social support and promote positive relationships.
• Encourage participation and ensure activities are accessible to all residents.
• Set up and clean activity areas; maintain equipment and supplies.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation.
• Other duties as assigned by the Activities Director.

Activities Assistant

As an Activities Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational activities for our residents. You will play a vital role in creating a lively and engaging atmosphere that promotes physical, social, and emotional well-being among the residents.

Activities Assistant Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and conducting recreational activities that meet the needs and interests of the residents, including games, music, crafts, and other social events.
• Engage with the residents to provide social support and promote positive relationships among them.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and ensure that activities are accessible to all residents, regardless of ability.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up activity areas, as well as ensuring that all equipment and supplies are maintained in good condition.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Activities Director.

Activities Assistant Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working in a recreational or social setting with older adults preferred.
