Full-Time Activities Assistant
Location:Fairlane Gardens Nursing and Rehab, Reading, PA
Shift: 8am-4p, every other weekend and every other holiday

Fairlane Gardens Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicatedActivities Assistantto join our skilled nursing facility. In this role, you will help enhance the emotional, recreational, and social well-being of our residents under the direction of the Director of Activities.

Position Highlights

• Starting Pay: $14.50+/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents in meeting their recreational and social needs through planned activities.
• Assist residents with everyday tasks such as writing letters, making phone calls, or registering to vote.
• Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and activity attendance.
• Help with tasks such as delivering mail, escorting residents to programs, and maintaining plants, pets, or fish within the facility.
• Organize and assist in activities that provide entertainment, relaxation, and creative expression.
• Supply craft materials and supervise residents during craft or art activities to encourage participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working in long-term care or with elderly or disabled individuals is desirable.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
