Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group's Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell, SD is hiring an Activities Assistant for evening hours, with options for full-time or part-time work. The role focuses on engaging residents with meaningful activities, building rapport, and delivering compassionate, person-centered care.

• Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
• Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director in order to provide: A friendly visitor; Sensory stimulation; Reality orientation; A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident’s Activity Plan.
• Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.
• Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
