Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group is seeking an Activities Assistant for Seattle Medical Post Acute Care. You will bring a kind approach to the elderly, be a good listener, and build rapport while delivering engaging group programs through collaboration with the Activities Director and nursing staff.

You will schedule activities, notify residents and staff, provide one-to-one visits, assist with transporting residents, and help with housekeeping in activity areas.

Job Summary:

Essential Functions:

• Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
• Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director in order to provide:
  • A friendly visitor.
  • Sensory stimulation.
  • Reality orientation.
  • A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident's Activity Plan.
• Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.
• Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
