Evergreen Healthcare Group's Seattle Medical Post Acute Care is seeking an Activities Assistant who brings a kind approach to the elderly, listens well, and communicates clearly. You will support residents through group and one-to-one activities, help with schedules, and collaborate with the Activities Director to meet individual care plans.

• Communicate with nursing staff to assist in transporting residents to general activity areas.
• Assist with general housekeeping duties in Activity areas.

Job Summary:

Essential Functions:

• Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.


• Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.


• Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director in order to provide:


• A friendly visitor.


• Sensory stimulation.


• Reality orientation.


• A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident’s Activity Plan.


• Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.


• Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
