Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group's Missoula Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Activities Assistant (Part-Time). You will help plan and implement group activities that promote resident interaction and provide one-to-one visits to offer companionship, sensory stimulation, and reality orientation.

• Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis to provide a friendly visitor, sensory stimulation, reality orientation, and meet individual activity plans.
• Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel to assist in transporting residents to and from activity areas.
• Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas.

Missoula Health and Rehabilitation Center is looking for someone who has a kind approach with the elderly, is a good listener, can build rapport easily, and has good communication skills. Essential Functions

• Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
• Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director in order to provide:
  • A friendly visitor.
  • Sensory stimulation.
  • Reality orientation.
  • A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident's Activity Plan.
• Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.
• Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
