Job summary

Missoula Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Activities Assistant for a part-time role in Missoula, Montana. The ideal candidate will have a kind approach to the elderly, be a good listener, and possess strong communication skills to build rapport with residents.

• Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director in order to provide: a friendly visitor; sensory stimulation; reality orientation; a means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident’s Activity Plan.
• Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.
• Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas.
