Heritage Pointe is seeking an Activity Assistant to join the Life Enrichment team. You will plan and lead engaging activities for memory care residents, creating meaningful experiences that foster connection, dignity, and joy within the community.

The role requires scene leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a busy, resident-centered environment. This is a full-time, in-person position with flexibility for scheduled community events.

Qualifications

  • Friendly and have desire to work with elderly population.
  • Good listener, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Able to communicate effectively with staff, residents and families.
  • Must know and uphold Resident Rights.
  • All applicants will undergo a drug screen, criminal history check, and physical as part of the interview process.

We’re seeking a caring, energetic, and creative Activity Assistant to join our Life Enrichment team!

In this rewarding role, you’ll help bring joy, connection, and purpose to our residents’ daily lives by planning and leading engaging, meaningful activities.

You’ll serve as a primary Activity Assistant for our memory care residents, creating opportunities for connection, sensory engagement, meaningful interaction, and purposeful experiences that help each resident feel valued and supported.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide strong leadership.
  • Plan, develop, and implement appropriate memory care activities and monthly calendars.
  • Work independently to manage assigned area operations.

Work Schedule and Availability
  • Full-time, in-person position.
  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed.

  • Must be available to participate in scheduled community activities and events.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and move throughout the community for extended periods.
  • Ability to assist with resident transportation and activities as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull activity supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform routine physical tasks.
  • Ability to respond safely and appropriately to residents’ needs.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
