Maple Grove Wellness & Rehabilitation seeks an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to help plan and run engaging programs for residents. You will coordinate events with families, volunteers, and local groups, support the Activities Director in calendars and supplies, and encourage residents to stay active and socially connected.

We value creativity, patience, dependability, and strong communication skills, plus a love for making seniors smile. Prior recreation or senior care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Support the Activities Team: Work alongside the Activities Director to develop monthly activity calendars, organize supplies, and keep programs running smoothly.

• Encourage Independence: Help residents stay active, socially connected, and involved in activities that support their interests and abilities.

• Lend a Helping Hand: Assist with activity documentation, resident precautions, volunteer coordination, and Resident Council meetings as needed.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Activities Certification preferred.

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, senior living, recreation, or activity programming setting is a plus.

• One year of experience in long-term care preferred.

• Experience planning or leading social, recreational, or group activities preferred.

• A positive attitude, outgoing personality, and enthusiasm for working with seniors.

• Creativity, patience, dependability, and strong communication skills.

• Someone who enjoys making others smile and isn't afraid to jump in and have fun!
