Job summary

The Arbor Company is seeking an Activities Assistant for our Memory Care team. You will plan dementia-friendly activities, tailor experiences, and contribute to a six-dimensional engagement program while building meaningful connections with residents and families.

Ideal candidates have dementia care experience, a creative approach, and strong teamwork skills. Weekend availability is required, and the role supports a compassionate, engaging memory care environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with seniors living with dementia or memory-related conditions.
• Availability to work weekends or every other weekend.
• Experience in senior living, memory care activities programming, caregiving, or related field.
• Strong communication, patience, empathy, and ability to connect with residents.
• Creative personality with passion for planning joyful activities.
• Ability to collaborate in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging, dementia-friendly activities that promote cognitive stimulation, social interaction, and emotional well-being.
• Create meaningful experiences tailored to residents' interests and memory stages.
• Support the six-dimensional engagement program through creative programming.
• Build genuine relationships with residents and families, helping each resident feel valued.
• Adapt activities for varying cognitive and physical abilities.

• Weekend Availability Required: Candidates must be available to work weekends or every other weekend.

What We're Looking For
