The Arbor Terrace Middletown is seeking an Activities Director (Engagement Director) to lead engaging lifestyle programs for residents and create meaningful experiences that enrich their lives.

You will plan daily activities for Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care residents, coordinate events, calendars, and newsletters, and build strong relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and community partners.

Activities Director (Engagement Director)

What You'll Do

As our Activities Director, you'll lead the planning and execution of a vibrant engagement program that celebrates each resident's unique interests and abilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and lead meaningful daily activities for Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care residents


• Plan community events, celebrations, outings, and family-centered programs


• Create and maintain monthly activity calendars and resident newsletters


• Encourage resident participation through creative, person-centered programming


• Supervise and support activity team members


• Build relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and community partners


• Ensure programs support residents' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being


• Maintain activity supplies, documentation, and regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in activities, recreation, life enrichment, or a related field


• Experience working in senior living is preferred but not required


• Experience supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia is a plus
