Job summary

Bentwood Nursing & Rehab is recruiting a Part-Time Activities Assistant to plan and run center activities for residents. You will prepare snacks, set up dining areas, and help with logs and charting, ensuring clean, safe activity spaces.

The role requires weekends, holidays, and evenings. A High School Diploma or GED is required; NCCAP credits and OTA/NCCAP certification are preferred. Excellent communication with residents and teams is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 NCCAP college credits preferred.
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming preferred.
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification preferred.
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule.
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize floor activities.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set-up the dining room tables for activities.
• Clean-up after all activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.
