Job summary

Cassia Community is seeking an Activities Assistant for Apple Valley Health Care Center. This part-time position requires coordinating and leading activity programs for residents at the Apple Valley Village Health Care Center location.

The role emphasizes compassionate engagement, creativity in activities, and strong communication with residents and staff. Wages range from $17 to $22.85 per hour, with experience-based considerations and a varied weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with seniors preferred, but not required.
• Demonstrate good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities.
• Creative aptitude for training in arts, crafts, and games.
• Good communication skills, including ability to give directions to others in a manner that is pleasant and easily understood.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead small group activity programs including a variety of games, discussion groups, exercises, and trivia
• Interact and assist residents on a one to one basis outside of structured program times.
• Document activity attendance and degree of involvement.
• Act as a positive representative at all times.
• Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.

Position Type: Part-Time working a varying schedule
Shifts Available:
Every Other Weekend 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Wage Range: $17 - $22.85 /hour depending on experience
Location:14650 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN55124

Activities Assistant Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead small group activity programs including a variety of games, discussion groups, exercises, and trivia
