Job summary

Park View Assisted Living in Buffalo is seeking an Activities Assistant to engage residents in varied programs and help them stay informed, entertained, and connected.

This part-time role offers 8:00 am–4:30 pm shifts on Thursday and Friday, with a wage range of $17.39–$18.73 per hour, and benefits through Cassia. Prior experience is welcomed but not required, and we value creativity, compassion, and a team-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Assisted Living or Long Term Care preferred, but not required.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to stay enthusiastic and positive when promoting activities.
• Creative aptitude for arts, crafts, and games.
• Good communication, with directions that are clear and pleasant.

Responsibilities

• Encourage, support, and assist residents with activities.
• Interact one-to-one with residents outside structured program times.
• Document activity attendance and degree of involvement.
• Act as a positive representative at all times.
• Transport residents to and from activities on bus.
• Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.

As an Activities Assistant at Park View Assisted Living, you will conduct activities with our residents to help keep them informed, entertained, and engaged. We are looking for someone who is skilled at helping get residents out of their rooms for our exciting programs! Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a genuine concern for our residents’ well-being and has a creative personality and positive attitude.

Shifts Available:

Days: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Thursday & Friday

Wage Range:

$17.39 - $18.73 /hour depending on experience

Activities Assistant responsibilities:

• Encourage, support, and assist residents with activities.

Activities Assistant Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in an Assisted Living, Long Term Care, or Memory Care facility preferred, but not required.

• Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities.
• Creative aptitude for training in arts, crafts, and games.
• Good communication skills, including ability to give directions to others in a manner that is pleasant and easily understood.
