Job summary

Sprenger Health Care in Amherst, OH is seeking a Recreation Activities Coordinator to support resident engagement and well-being. The role involves facilitating group programs, assisting with transportation to activities, and helping plan and lead recreation initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma with health-care activity experience or a relevant college degree, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2+ years in patient activities within health care.
• Or a degree/near degree in Recreation, Gerontology, Nursing Home Administration, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or OTA with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group programs as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from activities.
• Assist with planning and leadership of recreation programs.
• Promote facility programs to residents, staff, family and volunteers.

Qualifications

High School diplomaand 2 plus years of experience in a patient activities program in a health care setting; OR has college degree in or actively working toward a degree in Recreation, Gerontology, Nursing Home Administration, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Occupational Therapy Assistant with a valid driver’s license.
