Job summary

Amherst Manor Retirement Community in Ohio is seeking a dedicated activities professional to coordinate resident programs and lead group activities. The role emphasizes transporting residents and scheduling engaging recreation.

You will work with staff and families to promote activities, while pursuing growth and development within a supportive team. A high school diploma or relevant degree and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 2+ years in a patient activities program.
• Or enrolled in/holding a degree in Recreation, Gerontology, NHA, Nursing, or OT with a valid driver’s license.
• Experience in a health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group activities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from activities.
• Assist with planning and leadership of recreation programs.
• Promote facility programs to residents, staff, family and volunteers.
