Job summary

Sprenger Health Care in Amherst, OH seeks an Activities Assistant to support resident recreation and wellness programs within our senior living communities. The role focuses on engaging residents in group activities and assisting with safe transport and setup.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma with 2+ years in a patient activities program or a relevant college degree, plus a valid driver’s license. We offer growth opportunities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2+ years of experience in a patient activities program in a health care setting; OR has college degree in or actively working toward a degree in Recreation, Gerontology, Nursing Home Administration, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Occupational Therapy Assistant with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group programs as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from activities.
• Assist with planning and leadership of recreation programs.
• Promote facility programs to residents, staff, family and volunteers.
