Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission invites you to join the State Supported Living Center team as a Direct Support Professional III - Active Treatment Coordinator in Corpus Christi. You will organize leisure activities, monitor quality, and support residents in achieving wellness and independence.

This role requires a Texas driver’s license, the ability to pass background checks, and flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• One year experience in direct individual care work or graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent.
• Valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain it no later than 90 days after hire date.
• Applicants must pass fingerprint background check, pre-employment drug screen, and CANRS, Nurse Aide, Medication Aide and LEIE checks.
• Flexibility in work hours; may be required to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities for individuals in the State Supported Living Center, ensuring age-appropriate and meaningful engagement.
• Provide oversight to ensure quality active treatment and services meet individuals’ satisfaction.
• Prepare written documentation and reports on monitoring of activities and outcomes.
• Drive a state-owned vehicle as required and work with supervisory staff.
