Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Unit Director to oversee the daily operations of the State Supported Living Center in Corpus Christi, TX. The role provides a safe, homelike environment with individualized supports and coordinates nursing, behavioral health, and active treatment services.

You will hire and supervise staff, align goals with federal/state requirements, and lead continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
• At least one (1) year of experience leading, directing or managing multiple staff members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the SSLC homes to ensure quality care.
• Hire, supervise and schedule staff for assigned homes and units.
• Coordinate healthcare, behavioral health, and active treatment services.
• Ensure compliance with the DOJ Settlement Agreement and state/federal regulations.
