Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Courtesy Clerk to greet customers, bag purchases, and keep the store clean and welcoming. You will assist customers, stock shelves, and help other departments as needed in a fast-paced retail setting.

No prior education or experience is required; we provide comprehensive training. Night and weekend shifts are required, and the role keeps you active while helping customers and the team.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required; training provided.
• Able to learn and follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
• Able to perform basic math and accurately count and record figures.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every visit great.
• Package customer purchases and assist transporting them to the vehicle.
• Bring carts in from the parking lot and assist with cart corrals.
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room, and backroom; sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Stock, face, rotate merchandise; understand shelf tags and locations in-store and in backroom.
• Maintain front end supplies such as bags and receipt paper; assist in other areas as needed.
• Help train new courtesy clerks and deliver product to customers.
