No formal education or experience required; training provided. You will learn to bag purchases, assist customers, stock shelves, and participate in special projects while maintaining hygiene and store guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every visit great
• Package customer purchases and assist customers in transporting them to their mode of transportation
• Bring carts in from the parking lot and cart corrals throughout your shift
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room, and backroom, and sweep/mop floors as needed
• Stock, face, rotate merchandise, clean shelves, and know shelf tags and locations
• Pull product forward on shelves to maintain a full, organized appearance
• Check prices on products as needed
• Maintain front end supplies including bags and receipt paper
• Help train new courtesy clerks
• Deliver product to customers and assist in all departments as requested
• Shovel, salt, and sand walkways as needed
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain personal hygiene and dress standards and follow Hy-Vee policies
