Job summary

Prairie Ridge Integrated Behavioral Healthcare in Marshalltown, IA seeks a Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Therapist for its ACT team. You will provide assessments, counseling (individual, group, and family), and crisis intervention to clients in home and community settings.

Qualifications include a master’s in behavioral health and licensure (LMFT/LMHC/LMSW/LISW or psychologist). Travel and flexible scheduling are required to support clients in the Marshalltown area.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral healthcare and licensure (LMFT/LMHC/LMSW/LISW or psychologist).
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapy practices.
• Knowledge of psychotropic drugs and related research.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing to work in in-home/community settings and flexible schedule.
• Travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and individual, group, and family counseling for ACT clients.
• Develop and maintain a community referral network.
• Deliver education and training to individuals, groups, and agencies.
• Complete regulatory documentation and data collection on time.
• Coordinate care across Prairie Ridge services.
• Attend ACT team meetings, supervision, and on-call rotation.
• Demonstrate proficiency in clinical practices per agency standards.
• Maintain knowledge of documentation systems (ISmart, MyOutcomes, EHR).
• Adhere to CARF policies and HIPAA/privacy rules.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency assessments.
• Offer family education and support per treatment plan.
• Maintain dignity, confidentiality, and professional conduct.

Education

Master’s degree in behavioral healthcare
