As the Team Leader, you’ll oversee clinical services, support staff, coordinate service coverage, and work alongside professionals from different disciplines to provide individualized care. This position includes direct clinical services as needed and participation in the team’s on-call rotation.

What Is Assertive Community Treatment?

What You’ll Do

  • Help recruit, interview, hire, and train members of the new ACT team.
  • Supervise clinical services and ensure staff receive training and clinical supervision appropriate to their roles and scope of practice.
  • Manage staffing, schedules, and service coverage to meet participant needs and ACT program guidelines.
  • Lead team meetings and consultations, supporting clear communication and coordinated treatment.
  • Provide clinical direction and respond promptly to emerging participant, family, and staff needs.
  • Monitor service delivery, review clinical records, and ensure timely, accurate documentation and appropriate follow-up.

  • Provide direct clinical services as needed and participate in the team’s on-call rotation.
  • Coordinate scheduling updates and help patients and staff access telehealth services, including basic troubleshooting.
  • Help develop program policies and procedures and participate in continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with agency policies, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and applicable CARF standards.
  • Treat every individual with dignity and respect and perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Master’s degree in human services with a current license to provide mental health therapy in Iowa, or a current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • At least three years of clinical practice, including knowledge and experience using evidence-based practices.
  • Skills in individual, group, and/or family counseling, as appropriate to your professional role.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and clinical documentation skills.
  • Proficiency using electronic health records and related technology.
  • A commitment to Prairie Ridge’s mission and the individuals we serve.
  • Ability to travel within the service area as needed.

Experience on an ACT team or in another community-based mental health service is preferred.
