Job summary

Resources For Human Development (RHD) is seeking an ACT Team Lead in Chattanooga, TN. This full-time position includes paid training and opportunities to lead a compassionate team delivering aligned services.

You will supervise staff, coordinate clinical and program activities, and ensure treatment plans are implemented per ACT standards while supporting recovery and community integration.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Education, Psychiatry, or related field.
  • Active clinical licensure as LPC, LCSW, LISW, LMFT or LMSW.
  • Minimum three years of direct service experience with adults across mental health and related services.
  • Experience with supervision, coaching, and staff development is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, coaching, mentoring, and support to team members.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and develop staff.
  • Conduct regular employee performance evaluations and quality reviews.
  • Organize workloads and ensure program effectiveness.
  • Ensure 24/7 crisis response coverage and adherence to ACT standards.

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Evaluate consumer progress and update treatment interventions as needed.
  • Maintain a caseload and provide direct clinical services as the primary clinician.
  • Support consumers in achieving recovery, rehabilitation, and community integration goals.
  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with ACT standards and best practices.
Staff Supervision & Team Development
  • Provide supervision, coaching, mentoring, and support to team members.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and staff development.
  • Conduct regular employee performance evaluations.
  • Train staff on assessment processes, treatment planning, documentation, and service delivery.
  • Organize, assign, and monitor workloads to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Communicate agency policies, procedures, and expectations to staff.
  • Support corrective action processes and performance improvement initiatives when needed.
  • Ensure 24/7 crisis response coverage for program participants.
Program Administration
  • Maintain oversight of regulatory and accreditation compliance requirements.
  • Ensure medical records and documentation meet all clinical, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain staff schedules and coverage plans.
  • Monitor program performance indicators and quality outcomes.
  • Support program development and continuous quality improvement efforts.
Consumer Support & Service Coordination

Assist and guide staff in:

  • Linking individuals to community resources and services.
  • Monitoring service effectiveness and consumer progress.
  • Crisis prevention and intervention.
  • Problem-solving and advocacy.
  • Building natural supports and informal community networks.
  • Independent living and rehabilitation skill development.
  • Peer support services and recovery-oriented care.
  • Work collaboratively with assigned financial leadership to maintain program sustainability.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure responsible use of program resources.
  • Support census growth and service utilization goals.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and program enhancement.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Education, Psychiatry, or a related Human Services field; OR
  • Master's Degree in another Human Services discipline plus qualifying experience.
Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of direct service experience working with adults in:
    • Mental Health
    • Substance Use Treatment
    • Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
    • Healthcare
    • Juvenile Justice
    • Vocational Rehabilitation
    • Related Human Services Programs
  • At least two (2) years of community-based treatment experience.
Licensure

Must possess active clinical licensure as one of the following:

  • LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
  • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
  • LISW (Licensed Independent Social Worker)
  • LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)
  • LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)
Additional Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area
  • Ability to participate in crisis intervention and community-based services
