Job summary

Origin Investments is seeking an Acquisitions Associate in Charlotte, NC to support the full life cycle of real estate investments, from underwriting to closing. You will work with investment professionals, data scientists, and internal teams to analyze opportunities and structure transactions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year of real estate experience, with strong Excel/PowerPoint and financial modeling skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or related field.
1+ years of full-time real estate experience in PE, real estate credit, investment banking, brokerage, or advisory.
Strong understanding of real estate investment fundamentals and financial analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
Experience with ARGUS Enterprise preferred.

Responsibilities

Underwrite prospective real estate acquisitions using Excel and ARGUS Enterprise.
Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate opportunities, returns, risk, and scenarios.
Prepare investment presentations and committee memoranda for acquisitions.
Research macro- and microeconomic data to evaluate trends and opportunities.
Collaborate with Investment Management to refine underwriting assumptions and processes.
Participate in property inspections, market tours, and meetings with local participants.
Support evaluation of investment structures, financing options, and terms.
Perform due diligence across financial, operational, market aspects for closing.
