Job summary

Origin Investments in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Acquisitions Associate to join the Acquisitions team. This role provides exposure to underwriting, structuring, due diligence, financing, closing, and transition to Investment and Asset Management across our real estate funds and strategies.

The position requires in-office presence four days a week with one day remote, offering a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and opportunities to leverage data science and technology in investment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Real Estate/ Economics/ Accounting or related field.
• 1+ years of real estate experience in PE, real estate credit, banking, or advisory.
• Strong understanding of real estate investment fundamentals and financial analysis.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling; ARGUS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite prospective real estate acquisitions using Excel and ARGUS.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models evaluating returns and risks.
• Prepare investment presentations and memoranda for committees.
• Analyze market data to assess trends and opportunities.
• Support underwriting assumptions and transaction terms with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate property inspections and market meetings with stakeholders.
• Assist in financing alternatives and closing preparations.
• Support transition of investments to asset management and IR teams.
