Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering – Acquisition and Systems Engineering Project Engineer to lead technical and programmatic efforts for OTTI in Colorado Springs, CO. This full-time role requires coordinating with SSC, government leadership, and industry partners to translate capability needs into acquisition and development efforts.
The role emphasizes test, training, modeling, and simulation, with travel around 10% and active clearance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical subject area.
- 8+ years of experience in acquisition and development of space mission ground/software intensive systems.
- Experience with multidisciplinary, multi-organizational teams.
- Familiarity with distributed simulation capabilities (APIs, Kafka, DIS, HLA).
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in architecting, acquisition, development, integration, and delivery of test and training capabilities.
- Collaborate across organizations to identify programmatic, technical, and integration challenges and deliver timely solutions.
- Communicate technical recommendations to Aerospace and Government leadership.
- Maintain relationships with Government leadership, contractors, and engineering teams.
- Coordinate across mission areas to identify integration efficiencies.
- Define and fulfill OTTI program office roles within the team.
- Support development of integrated fiscal year execution plans.
