Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Detroit VAMC seeks an Associate Chief of Staff for Radiology (ACOS Radiology) to lead the Imaging Service.

The role combines administrative leadership with clinical practice (about half of effort) and directs quality, safety, and teaching in a large tertiary care setting. You will oversee CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology, while partnering with Wayne State University for education and research.

Qualifications

• Administrative and leadership experience in a medical imaging department.
• Ability to coordinate education and research activities with affiliated medical schools.
• Strong communication and team‑leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical oversight of Radiology services.
• Lead quality and safety initiatives across imaging modalities.
• Foster education and research in collaboration with Wayne State University.
• Oversee imaging protocols, workflow, and appropriateness of exams.
• Coordinate resources to optimize clinic capacity and patient care.
