Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Deputy Chief Radiologist to lead the Imaging Service and oversee diagnostic and interventional imaging operations. The role includes supervising staff, coordinating clinical rotations, and ensuring high-quality patient care for veterans.

The incumbent will manage administrative duties, SOP updates, and performance evaluations, while supporting tumor boards and service-wide initiatives within the VA system.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship requirement per VA policy.
• MD degree from a VA-approved school.
• Full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency training leading to board certification eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Imaging Service and supervise radiologist staff.
• Review ePerformance, RVU and productivity goals.
• Oversee MRI/LDCT and Mammography LIV programs as assigned.
• Update SOPs and checklists as needed; ensure OPPE/FPPE processes.
